Bi-Annual Seminar
Hiroshi Ikeda Shihan, 7th Dan
February 25-27, 2011
The St. Louis Aikikai was proud to host the bi-annual seminar with
Hiroshi Ikeda Shihan, 7th Dan.
An awful lot of great energy filled the St. Louis Aikikai dojo during the weekend of February 25-27, 2011. Around 60 aikidoka (incl. many senior instructors from other dojos) arrived from various surrounding states to participate in the seminar.
Ikeda Shihan taught the philosophy of Aikido, in particular that it is important to establish a strong center.
This can only be reached if the student is continuously practicing and living the philosophy of Aikido.

The full details of the seminar can be found here! Download the PDF Flier of the seminar
We would like to thank Ikeda Shihan for sharing his knowledge with us again.
We also want like to thank all members of our dojo who all came together to contribute to the successful preparation
and running of the seminar weekend.

Special Offer for New Students
"An Introduction to Aikido"
First 6 weeks $95
Next 6 weeks FREE
Aikido is a very deep art, which reveals itself over a lifetime of dedicated practice. It can also quite intimidating initially, as our bodies learn how to receive techniques and fall safely.
In order to encourage newcomers to persevere through their first few months of training, we have a special offer for their first 12 weeks: the new student pays for the first half up front, and the second half is free.
Beginners are able to participate in regular classes, since we have plenty of space and mats. However, senior students may be selected to lead beginners at a slower pace with more basic exercises in parallel to the main class.
Here is our PDF Flier, please feel free to distribute!
